Responsibilities:
- Shipping Coordination: Assist in the coordination of daily shipping operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Documentation Management: Handle and organize shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with local and international shipping regulations and standards.
- Tracking and Reporting: Monitor shipment progress, provide regular updates, and prepare reports on shipping activities.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve shipping-related issues promptly.
- Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team for stock availability.
- Logistics Support: Provide logistical support for import and export processes, including liaising with freight forwarders and carriers.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of shipping transactions in the company’s database.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal departments, customers, and external vendors to facilitate smooth shipping operations.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential shipping issues and work proactively to resolve them.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to shipping processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Attributes: self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
