Responsibilities:

• In a variety of weather conditions, operate and navigate fishing boats safely.
• Oversee and direct fishing teams, making sure that there is efficient coordination and communication.
• Keep an eye on and maintain the equipment aboard the ship by doing regular inspections and quickly resolving any problems.
• To safeguard the crew’s safety and the effectiveness of fishing activities, put safety protocols into place and enforce them.
• To maximize catch, locate fishing sites and use the right fishing methods.
• Work together with marine biologists and specialists in fisheries to support sustainable fishing methods.
• Maintain precise records of the catch, outlays, and other pertinent information.
• Respect national, regional, and international fishing laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Possess a valid boat captain’s license.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of fishing techniques and equipment.
• Familiarity with local and international fishing regulations.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging maritime environment.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
